2016 Election Cycle

Santa Rosa County Supervisor of Elections Preps Database for 2016 Election Cycle

The Santa Rosa County Supervisor of Elections Office has been working hard to prepare for the upcoming elections in 2016 by conducting list maintenance activities and implementing new mapping software.

For the last six months, the elections office has been working on the biennial list maintenance in compliance with Florida Statute 98.065, to ensure Santa Rosa County’s voter rolls accurately reflect active voters within the county.

It is important to have up-to-date information regarding voters and their residential information. This allows the elections office to provide the voters of Santa Rosa County the opportunity to experience an easy, and hassle-free election experience.

Another preparation the Santa Rosa County Supervisor of Elections Office has made is the transition to using GeoElections mapping software for all the street and mapping requirements of voters in the county. The GeoElections mapping software pin points voters and has allowed the elections office to modernize the current program which will lead to easier, quicker and more thorough precinct changes, street additions and redistricting in the future.

Some voters may notice a change in their precinct and/or split. As a result, new voter information cards will be sent to those voters whose precincts have changed. Some voters may also see changes in their polling locations during the 2016 election cycle. All of the voters affected by these changes will be mailed new voter information cards. If you receive a new voter information card in the mail, please take note of your new precinct and polling location.

Please keep in mind these upgrades and changes have been made to help ensure all voters within Santa Rosa County experience an accurate, timely, and efficient election.
