Southern Raceway located off 87 is a dirt track for racing. Fans have enjoyed bringing their family and friends there for the last 27 years.
On Saturday, Feb 27 the Winter Nationals took place. March 12 will be the 28th season opening. Southern Raceway is expected to have over 500 fans. There to greet them will be the new majority owner, Tom Lowery.
Tom spoke with us and is excited about making this track work. The future improvements will slowly happen but Tom did revel one of the first changes will be to the web site.
It is nice to be able to bring your family to a fun place such as Southern Raceway and also have a separate section for adults who want to enjoy a beer or two. There is also paid sheriffs there. A seprate play area with supervision is provided so you can enjoy the race and your children can have fun too.
