Sheepshead , Pompano and Whiting are in the area.
One of the best baits to catch Whiting is fresh shrimp that has been peeled. Once in the water this will released oils into the water that will attract Whiting . Whiting fish will hone in on the smell and eat the shrimp on the end of the line.
