2016 welcomes the 2nd annual Spring Fling 16 which promises to be a charitable and fun-filled event for everyone, including families with children. 4 charities have been chosen including Remembering Blackhawk 11, Veteran’s Memorial Foundation, Milton Volunteer Firefighters, and Shoes That Fit. The event has been in planning stages since Spring of 2015 and has developed into what is soon to become the best music festival to ever hit the Panhandle of Florida! Held at the Santa Rosa County Fairgrounds today. 9 bands on 2 stages will be sure to provide energizing and unforgettable music for all festival-goers. Children will enjoy the Kidz Zone, sponsored by Cricket Wireless, which will include 8 bounce houses (all free with purchase of a $5.00 child’s ticket to festival), a firetruck provided by local fire department, and fair-style games and vendors. With the purchase of an Adult VIP ticket for $75.00, 21 and over adults can relax in a splendid VIP area and indulge in free beer, wine, soda and water, as well as one free hot meal from East River Smokehouse. VIP area will include luxurious amenities including hot tubs (with private changing area provided), hammocks, sofas and lounge areas, private bathrooms for VIP ticket holders only, semi-climate controlled tent area, and preferred seating/standing area to BOTH stages! General Admission ticket holders will pay $25.00 per ticket and are sure to enjoy themselves as well with easy-access to porta- potties, a variety of vendors and food trucks, and front row access to both stages as well, on a first-come/first serve basis. The event is family-friendly and kids of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend as behavioral expectations will be strictly enforced by paid Sheriffs and Security staff that will be on-site throughout the entire event. A first-aid station, provided by Lifeguard Ambulance Services, will be on-site as well for those unfortunate, but possible scrapes and bruises! Free parking outside the fairgrounds is available. Festival-goers are encouraged to bring their chairs but are asked to please leave coolers and pop-up tents at home. There will be a security checkpoint at front gate and items including, but not limited to, weapons, firearms, and outside liquor will not be permitted on the premises.
Spring Fling 16 is proud to include the following 9 bands in this year’s festival: head-lining the Main Stage will be The Molly Ringwald’s from New Orlean’s, LA. Other artists will include Southern Drawl Band, Heritage, El Dub, Robert Wayne, Tribe Zion, Cody Lee Stone Band, The Jason Able Project, and Branded X. Gates open at 11:00am with the first artist hitting the Bud Light Stage at 11:30. The Molly RIngwalds will headline the main SpringFling’16 stage at 9:30 and Branded X will close the festival out for the after-party beginning at 11:30.
The goal for Milton Spring Fling 16 is to bring an unforgettable and affordable family-friendly music festival to Milton, Florida with the hope of elevating Milton into a destination people will come to love in years to come. Spring Fling 16 is sponsored by local businesses and the hope is to eventually grow the festival into an event that draws business and interest to the city of Milton and always support the local businesses that people have come to love and depend on. Although in years to come, our entertainment will hopefully expand to include well-known, nationally touring, and chart-topping artists, the festival will always include our much-loved local artists and will always heavily support local charities and business. 100% of all profits from alcohol sold at the event will be contributed to our named charities as well as our support as an organization throughout the year.
