Excitement is in the air as Navarre prepares to welcome the thousands of locals and visitors from out of state to the 38th annual Mardi Gras parade in Navarre this Saturday.
Navarre Newspaper is covering Mardi Gras Parade and expects great weather with a temperature between 55 to 66.Sun and clouds. Only 5% chance of rain.
This years parade starts at 1 p.m. Parade route is west to east along Gulf Blvd beginning where Indiana St and Gulf Blvd intersect.
As you can see in the photo above people are already here and certain areas along Gulf Blvd have been blocked off from public parking. Most condos will tow any car that is parked in there lot that is not a guest staying there so you have been warned.
Access to the island at Navarre beach bridge usually is closed around 12 p.m.so GET THERE EARLY.
The parade awards ceremony will be at Andy D’s immediately following the parade and the public is welcome to attend.
Usually a lot of people party at one of the three great places on Navarre Beach after the parade to let the traffic die down. Windjammers will have a special set up at the entrance to Navarre pier with a band and food. Andy D’s will have bands, food and drink specials. Juanas will have entertainment from at 3p.m. until midnight.
