Santa Rosa County – Santa Rosa Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen Barber, Santa Rosa School Board Members, and members of the Santa Rosa Education Foundation announced Kayla Stanford as the Santa Rosa Teacher of the Year 2026 during a surprise visit this morning. Kayla is a fifth-grade teacher at Holley-Navarre Intermediate School and in her ninth year of teaching.
Kayla is Santa Rosa’s nominee for the Florida Department of Education Teacher of the Year 2026. The Florida Teacher of the Year will be selected in May and serve as Florida’s nominee for National Teacher of the Year to be announced in January 2026. Kayla Stanford, Teacher of the Year nominees, and all Santa Rosa educators will be honored at Santa Rosa’s Golden Apple Celebration on February 22nd, 2025, at The Saenger Theatre.
