On June 18, 2020 at approximately 5:35 PM, a motor vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of US 90 and Floridatown Road in Pace, Florida.
A white commercial tree truck was traveling west on US 90 approaching Floridatown Road in the left travel lane. A motorcycle was traveling in the left groove of the left lane ahead of the tree truck. 8 other vehicles were stopped at the red light facing west in the right travel lane, left travel lane, and in the left turn lane. For an unknown reason, the driver of the tree truck failed to slow down as it approached the stopped traffic. The driver of the motorcycle saw the truck approaching and attempted to dismount the motorcycle to avoid injury, causing the truck to hit the left side of the motorcycle. The tree truck entered into the lane occupied by the other vehicles. The tree truck collided with the rear of a SUV stopped directly in front of the motorcycle and continued west. The tree truck continued forward thru the stopped traffic and began to rotate counter clockwise. The tree truck then overturned onto its right side and landed on top of a pickup.
