At approximately 6:10 pm on March 11, 2024 NBFR crews were dispatched to the 7300 block of Gulf Blvd for an MVA vehicle vs motorcycle.
Due to the mechanism of injury, crews from Holley-Navarre Fire District Engine 45 and Battalion 40 were dispatched as this is an auto launch for Life Flight.
The motorcycle was traveling East bound at a high rate of speed when it collided with a van traveling West. The rider of the motorcycle sustained numerous injuries and a Trauma alert was called.
The patient was air lifted to Pensacola for treatment. Lifeguard Ambulance Service LLC provided on scene care. Santa Rosa County Sheriffs Office also responded and assisted.
FHP is investigating this accident.
