At approximately 1:00 pm, Deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single airplane crash near the end of Oil Plant Road in Jay.
The pilot was taken to a local area hospital. There were no others onboard the aircraft. Due to the remote area of the crash, the pilot was airlifted by a US Coast Guard helicopter crew.
