UPDATE: Alanda Lee McCoy was found this morning around 11:30 a.m. due to a citizen tip. She was located at a home in Santa Rosa County with Kavchak and for all appearances seemed fine. She is being evaluated and questioned. Kavchak is currently being questioned by Milton Police Department.
Chief of Police Anthony Tindell announced today: On 06–21-17 at about 3:00 a.m. officers were dispatched to a missing juvenile. After investigating, information was obtained that, Alanda Lee McCoy, 4, a white female was last seen leaving Santa Rosa Medical Center in the company of William “Bill” Phillip Kavchak, 27. Kavchak is described as a white male with brown hair/ brown eyes, 6’02”/ 175lbs. He was last known to be driving the child’s mother’s vehicle. The vehicle is a green, 2007 Mercury Montego Florida tag Y53UNW. Alanda was last seen wearing a yellow spaghetti strap tank top underneath a black tee shirt, light colored skirt and blue flip flops.
Mr. Kavchak is known to the child’s mother and left Santa Rosa Medical Center at 9:30 p.m. 06-20-17 to go get ice cream and didn’t return.
An AMBER Alert has been issued.
