Arrested for DUI Manslaughter

Charles Stillman

Charles Stillman of Holt, Florida was placed under arrest on August 1, 2024 in Okaloosa County, Florida for DUI Manslaughter following a crash that occurred the same day on Stanley Lane and Gulliver Cutoff in Baker, Florida.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stillman was operating a 2020 Ford pickup that traveling southbound on Stanley Lane. Driver 2 of Red Level, Alabama was traveling northbound in a 2024 Hyundai Palisade when the Ford pickup driven crossed into her lane. Driver 2 attempted to swerve right to avoid the collision but was unable to. The front of the Ford pickup collided with the front of the Hyundai. Driver 2 was pronounced deceased on scene.

A Corporal with the Traffic Homicide Investigations Unit spoke to Stillman, and following an interview, coupled with evidence on scene, it was determined Stillman was under the influence of alcohol.

Stillman was placed under arrest following his release from Fort Walton Beach Medical and was booked into Okaloosa County Jail with No Bond pending first appearance. Stillman was charged with one count of DUI Manslaughter.
