Arrested for selling vapes to underage customers

A store clerk was arrested in Navarre for illegally selling vapes to underage customers. This coincides with a presentation being conducted by a Santa Rosa School Resource Officer called “Escape the Vape”. The class is for to all 6th graders in Santa Rosa County teaching that vapes are harmful to kids.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sheriff’s Investigators received anonymous information about the Holley Food Mart, located at 6900 Navarre Parkway. The information advised that underage children were purchasing vape nicotine products from this store which is just a quarter mile away from West Navarre Intermediate School. Store clerk Rejeshwar Reddy, 57 years of age was arrested by Deputies after selling vape nicotine items to an underage individual. Reddy was taken into custody and transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail. He was charged with the violation of FSS 569.41, selling nicotine products to persons under 21 years of age. 

Vaping has become a serious issue with kids, often affecting their health and ability to participate in sports. This arrest should serve as a warning to other stores in our area.
