Navarre Shooting
On May 6, 2016, Deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in Navarre. Upon their arrival, the scene was secured and a suspect was taken into custody. Lifeguard Air 1 helicopter was dispatched to transport the victim to a local area hospital. It was determined the victim was shot in the chest area with a 9mm gun.
As of today, at 1:30 pm, the victim remains in a hospital and is in stable condition.
The suspect in the shooting was identified as Raylene Parker, who lives in Navarre. Raylene is a white female, 45 years of age. She is currently in the Santa Rosa County jail where she being held without a bond. She is being charged with attempted murder.
