UPDATE; Lockdown has been lifted at Avalon Middle and Benny Russell. At this time, there is no lockdown in place. School has resumed normal session.
Avalon Middle School and Benny Russel are currently on lockdown. Deputies are on scene at both locations.
SRSO has third party information in which a student overheard another stating there was a weapon at the school. Upon hearing this information, Deputies responded and secured both schools. There is one individual being questioned at this time.
Students are safe. SRSO are still on scene and actively investigating.
