BLUE MAHOE FIRE IN DESTIN

OFFICIAL RELEASE: 3rd alarm Commercial Structure Fire at 300 Harbor Blvd. Call came in around 0220 with report of smoke coming from this address.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

First arriving crews faced heavy fire conditions while trying to make an attack. Operations became defensive when a flashover occurred and a 2nd alarm was called.

A 3rd alarm was called for manpower and an air truck later into the event. No civilian injuries but 2 reported firefighter injuries or treatment.

UPDATE 8:35 AM ‼️ – All lanes on Harbor Boulevard (HWY 98) are back open at this time.

***ALL LANES OF HARBOR BOULEVARD IN DESTIN CLOSED BETWEEN PALMETTO AND MELVIN DUE TO STRUCTRE FIRE***

UPDATE 7:06 AM – Eastbound traffic on Harbor Boulevard is being diverted at Palmetto onto Mountain and westbound traffic is being diverted at Melvin onto Mountain. Expect lengthy delays in the area.

Multiple agencies are on scene of a structure fire at Blue Mahoe at 300 Harbor Boulevard in Destin. All lanes of Harbor Boulevard are currently closed between Palmetto and Melvin. Traffic is being detoured onto Mountain Drive. No one was inside of the building at the time of the fire. The Fire Marshall is working the investigation.
