Broken Down Car on I-10 leads to arrest of 5 teens

Five juveniles who fled from law enforcement after the stolen car they were in broke down on Interstate 10 now face charges of grand theft and resisting arrest without violence. They range in age from thirteen to sixteen.
An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy spotted a car that turned out to be stolen out of Santa Rosa County parked near Mile Marker 47 in Holt last night with five individuals standing next to it. When he activated his lights, all five ran into nearby woods. OCSO K9 Units and deputies ultimately helped track down the individuals.
Those charged are identified as 16-year old Latrell Damontrey Husfelt of Milton, 13-year old Gauge Tyler Young of Pensacola, 14-year old Joseph Tashaun Simmons of Pensacola, 15-year old Caleb Darrin Frazier of Pensacola, and 14-year old Manuel Josiah Viramontes of Bagdad. Viramontes is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and providing a false name.
The above statement was released to us from the office of Larry Ashley, Okaloosa County Sheriff.
Navarre Newspaper reminds our readers that  Latrell Damontrey Husfelt, Gauge Tyler Young , Joseph Tashaun Simmons , Caleb Darrin Frazier and Manuel Josiah Viramontes are presumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.
