On March 30 Santa Rosa County Supervisor of Elections , Tappie A. Villane informed James Calkins that he had met the requirements to be placed on the primary election ballot August 18, 2020 as a Republican candidate for Santa Rosa County Commissioner, District 3. James Calkins said “Friends, we have great news! Your tremendous support and help got me qualified for County Commissioner District 3 with over 1300 petitions signed. In this tough times for our Nation it is a miracle that we were able to get the petitions needed to qualify. I am so thankful for everyone of you that took the time to fill out a petition to get me on the ballot. I am motivated and ready to take the lead and make you proud of the confidence you placed in me to be your next County Commissioner. Now it is time to keep our families safe and to do everything we can to get through these tough times. Thanks to all our volunteers and friends who helped make this happen.
