A new fundraising record set in Santa Rosa County. Republican candidate James Calkins who is running for the District 3 County Commissioner seat in August has collected more than $100,000 for his campaign fund most of which is from Santa Rosa County residents and 77,700 of his own money.
After being questioned about his own money being put in the race Calkins said, “I promised to run a grassroots campaign and just like President Trump my self-funding model means I am not obligated to any special interests.”
