Clemson’s Jordan Leggett at Alphy’s Restaurant in Navarre Today
Written by Kenny Wilder
Dale and I had lunch today at Alphy’s and I was surprised to see Jordan Leggett, the great tight end for the Clemson Tigers dining with his brother and friend. Just two days ago Jordan and his Clemson Tigers beat the Alabama Crimson Tide in the College National Championship Game. Dale and I walked over to their table that was below two huge Ohio State banner flags. I shot this photo of Jordan with the Ohio State banner flags as the background. The owners are big Ohio State fans. Jordan was very humble and friendly to Dale and me. He is a former football player for the Navarre High School football team. We know Jordan’s Mother who is a great server at Alphy’s and of course was the server for Jordan and the group at their table. I told Jordan that I was a Bama fan and he just smiled. He represents the Navarre community and Clemson very well. What a small world!
Phyllis the co-owner with her husband Al of Alphy’s came over to my table and asked if I could provide her with a photo of Jordan Leggett. I told her I would donate a photo print and have it framed as long as she hangs it in the restaurant. I’m sorry about the Ohio State banner flags in the background. My framed print of Jordan will be quite a conversation for folks in the restaurant. LOL!
