CORVIAS BREAKS GROUND ON HURLBURT FIELD COMMUNITY CENTER

Hurlburt Field, in partnership with Corvias, a long-term solutions and management partner to the U.S. military, broke ground on a new community center January 15 at Hurlburt Field. The new, state-of-the-art community center is scheduled to be completed later this year.

The new community center is one of the final phases of major improvements at Hurlburt Field and, when completed, will be nearly 10,000 square feet and outfitted with amenities such as:

  • Media area with public computers
  • Multi-purpose room, available for resident events
  • Clubroom with open kitchen
  • Fitness room with an attached playroom
  • Swimming pool with pavilion
  • Half-court indoor basketball court, outdoor basketball court and playground
  • Full outdoor kitchen and patio

As the neighborhood focal point for residents, the building will also serve as office space for housing personnel. The Hurlburt Field Community Center is the sixth community center built for the Air Force and the 37th across Corvias’ portfolio of 13 installations, serving both the Army and the Air Force.

“We strive to ensure that Hurlburt Field is a place our Airmen and families are proud to call home,” said Col. Michael Curry, vice commander of the 1st Special Operations Wing. “Through our partnership with Corvias, we’re thrilled to provide a new community center as a cornerstone of camaraderie and companionship for those who work so tirelessly in the defense of our nation.”
