The body of a 61-year old Birmingham Alabama visitor was recovered from the surf today after being pulled out in rough waters off Destin’s East Jetty.
First responders were called to the scene around 4 this afternoon in reference to a distressed swimmer.
The man’s body was recovered approximately 35 minutes later.
