On 02/01/2022 04:26 hours, the City of Gulf Breeze Fire Department was dispatched to the 400 block of James River Road for a 911 call reporting a house fire.
Gulf Breeze P.D. arrived on scene and reported flames showing through the roof. Gulf Breeze was assisted by Midway Engines 35, 36, Battalion 35, Pensacola Beach Ladder 13 and Navarre Beach Ladder 49.
The homeowners, who were sleeping on the first floor, were alerted to the fire by their smoke detectors. No injuries were reported. The cause and origin was being investigated by the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office. Lifeguard E.M.S. stood by until released by command.
