Endangered species of turtle at Navarre beach today

A Kemp’s Ridley turtle was on Navarre beach today,  This is one of the most endangered species of turtle in the Gulf and the only turtle that lays eggs during the day.

The turtle did not lay any eggs today but will be back to try again. If you see a turtle on shore please keep a wide distance and do not touch it. Notify a lifeguard as soon as you see one.
