The Santa Rosa County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Donald C. Spencer Receives Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for Fiscal Year 2013-2014
(Chicago) For the twelfth consecutive year, the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to Santa Rosa County by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
An Award of Financial Reporting Achievement has been awarded to Donald C. Spencer, Santa Rosa County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller as being primarily responsible for preparing the award-winning CAFR. “I am proud of all the deputy clerks that contribute daily to earn this prestigious award,” said Clerk Spencer. “Teamwork is an essential element of our office and we will continue to work together to bring the best service possible to the citizens of Santa Rosa County.”
The CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive “sprit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR.
