EXPECTED NOT TO HIT FLORIDA

A tropical wave over eastern Cuba is forecast to move west northwest over the Gulf in the coming days, around the southern periphery of an upper level area of high pressure over the Southeast US.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There remains a low (20%) chance of tropical development in the yellow hatched area in the Gulf the next several days. At this time, appears the highest impacts for the central Gulf coast is an increased risk for rip currents and higher tides. Forecasters will continue to monitor the progress of this system.
