Expired Registration Tag leads to other charges

Christopher Adam Shaw

Christopher Adam Shaw had some explaining to do when a SRSO sergeant pulled over the car he was in for an expired registration tag.

Upon further investigation Christopher Adam Shaw age 21 was arrested due to a incident that took place at the Navarre Wal-Mart a few days earlier.

On Saturday, April 22, a manager reported to SRSO that a man and woman suspected of shoplifting that he was following around in the store had been threatened by the male who revealed a knife. Latter on the same male using a motion with his hand as a gun pretended to fire it at the manager as the couple exited the store.

On April 28 a car had been stopped for a traffic violation. Two people in the car looked like the same couple wanted for questioning in a separate incident that happened in the Navarre Wal-Mart on April 22. After further questioning the couple admitted to being in Wal-Mart on the day in question but denied that a knife was pulled out.

A witness had reported seeing a knife pulled on a manager by Shaw on the day in question.

Shaw was arrested and charged with moving traffic violation, aggravated assault with a weapon and probation violation-felony.

Christopher Adam Shaw is currently being held in the SRC jail.
