According to FHP report this morning a pickup was traveling south on State Road 89 (Highway 89) in Milton, Florida. The pickup veered off of the roadway onto the right shoulder and into the ditch. The pickup collided with a culvert on the north side of a driveway and became airborne. The pickup began to overturn and rotate as it was airborne. While the vehicle was overturning, the driver and passenger were both ejected. The pickup came to final rest facing northwest on the driver’s side of the vehicle. The driver and passenger of the pickup were both air lifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. One of the occupants was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
There were two males age 22 and 23 from Pensacola in the pickup. No names have been released. Seatbelts were not worn according to FHP report.
