According to Florida Highway Patrol official press release at 4:50 AM early this morning in Escambia County a 26 year-old man from Okaloosa , FL driving a red Volkswagen Jetta had a fatal car accident.
A red Volkswagen Jetta was traveling west in the inside westbound lanes of State Road 292 (Barrancas Avenue) just west of Kincaid Street. The Volkswagen traveled across the eastbound lanes of State Road 292 onto the south sidewalk. The front left of the Volkswagen struck a tree and caused the Volkswagen to rotate counterclockwise. The left side of the Volkswagen struck another tree and caused the Volkswagen to rotate clockwise onto it’s left side. The red Volkswagen’s final rest was on the south shoulder of State Road 292 on the golf course of the Pensacola Country Club facing east on it’s left side.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt. Next of kin has been notified.
