Early this morning a 2000 Chevy Tahoe was traveling northbound on Chumuckla Highway north of Willard Norris Road.
According to a FHP report the Tahoe veered from the northbound lane to the southbound lane, then off the roadway onto the unpaved shoulder. The vehicle traveled approximately 107 feet on the unpaved shoulder before impacting a large tree. The driver Mason Scott Tobin, 28 of Pace was extricated from the vehicle by fire department personal and flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center by Life Flight Helicopter. Driver was pronounced deceased upon arrival at Sacred Heart Medical Center. The driver was not wearing seatbelt.
