FHP Arrest driver for false imprisonment, battery, and driving without a license

On December 17, 2022, at approximately 10:45 am, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) received a call from a local police agency in Georgia reference to an alleged kidnapping involving the driver holding the adult female passenger against her will.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The FHP located the vehicle in Interstate 10 westbound at mile marker 24 in Santa Rosa County. During the course of the investigation, the FHP established cause to arrest the male driver for false imprisonment, battery, and driving without a license. 

The female party was assessed for her head and face injuries sustained by the male from this incident. 

The Interstate had temporary traffic congestion while the FHP investigated the case and traffic was returned to normal flow after completing on scene investigation. 

The Florida Highway Patrol would like to thank the excellent staff at 50 Dollar Eye Guy, 5328 N Davis Hwy, Pensacola, who quickly assisted the victim in getting a new pair of glasses so she could safety drive back to her home in Georgia.
