The Florida Council of Instructional Technology Leaders presented the prestigious Instructional Technology Leadership Award this morning at their annual conference in Orlando, Florida.
Revolutionizing the educational landscape, Principal Windfelder has catapulted Navarre High School into the future by seamlessly integrating technology into every facet of learning. She has introduced a variety of tech-focused courses, such as Cybersecurity, 3-D Animation, Engineering, and Robotics. This bold integration of technology has not only transformed the school’s curriculum, but also significantly increased the graduation rate, earning Navarre High School an “A” rating, and setting a new standard of excellence.

When asked how she helps to reduce or remove barriers for effective technology use in her school, Principal Windfelder said that she strives “to reduce barriers by dedicating funding for tech-related initiatives, prioritizing the allocation of resources, embracing challenges, and collaborating with stakeholders to brainstorm solutions.” “My team and I are dedicated to researching opportunities for our students that will help then reach their greatest potential,” says Windfelder.
