FOOD TRUCK ACCIDENT TODAY SENDS ONE TO HOSPITAL

The Eatery in Gulf Breeze located off Hwy 98 on Woodlawn Way. A employee turned on a stove and when he lit the pilot excess gas was ignited causing a accidental flash fire according to Stephen Aiken owner of The Eatery.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

One person was life-flighted to a local hospital with burns to their face and arms this morning according to Sarah Whitfield, PIO for SRC.

Midway Fire Department reported on 05/28/2022 at 08:53 hours, Midway engine 37 was dispatched to a stove mishap with a burn victim on Gulf Breeze Parkway.  Upon their arrival, firefighter paramedics provided A.L.S. care (Advanced Life Support). The patient was flown by LifeFlight 1 to the USA Burn Center in Mobile, Alabama for treatment. Midway Truck 36 assisted with the landing zone .

There is an ongoing investigation.
