Big offensive plays and a well-executed, stifling defensive plan presented the Gulf Breeze Dolphins their fifth victory of the season defeating Pace 42-14.

This is their longest winning streak to open a season for a long time.

They defeated Pace on their home field to extend their winning steak over the Patriots to seven.

Quarterback Battle Alberson was able to hit multiple receivers for long gains, and a few fourth down conversions, to propel the offense. Troy Coughlin ripped off a 75-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to put the game away. Their second-longest scoring play of the night was a Alberson-to-Bryson Rouillier strike on the left sideline for 69-yards.

Defensively, the Dolphins held Pace’s feature back — T.J. Haynes — to a minor role.

Gulf Breeze head coach credited the defensive strategy his staff put together, forcing Pace to use their passing game. The scheme worked, and Patriot quarterback Nate Simmons mustered two touchdowns in the loss.

The Dolphins will travel next Friday to play the West Florida Jaguars. The Jags are also undefeated four games into the 2021 season.
