HOME IS A TOTAL LOSS

Midway Engine 37, Truck 36 and Battalion 35 responded mutual aid to Holley-Navarre.
On 08/13/2024 2:21 PM, the Holley-Navarre Fire District was dispatched to the 8300 block of Verano Street in reference to a residential structure fire.  Upon arrival, Chief 49 reported a working fire, with flames visible from the rear of the mobile home.  The crew of Engine 45 deployed a hose line through the rear door and knocked the bulk of the fire down.  Another crew conducted an interior search and subsequently located two cats.  Firefighters and E.M.S. personnel attempted to revive the first cat with C.P.R..  Despite their best efforts, the adult cat passed.  During overhaul, a second cat was located and found to be deceased.  The home was declared a total loss

Despite another hot and humid day, none of the firefighters were injured.  Holley-Navarre was assisted by Florosa Engine 5, Midway Engine 37, Truck 36 and Navarre Beach Ladder 49. A crew from Lifeguard E.M.S. assisted our firefighters with hydration.
