HOW IS HIDDEN CREEK GOLF COURSE AFTER SALLY?

Update on Hidden Creek Golf Course
HC received over 35 inches of rain from Hurricane Sally.  We lost over 100 + trees which many were very large in size.
HC had damage to 4 irrigation boxes.  3 irrigation boxes have been repaired and waiting on parts for the last box.
As of today HC has around 15 trees left to be cut down, all but one of those trees will need a lift to be able to remove. The earliest we could secure a lift is Friday October 2nd. The other tree is under water in the rough on hole 10.  HC has one tree on holes 2 and 5 to clean up and holes 14, 15, 16 then all the tree clean up will be finished.  HC is making good progress on all the other limbs and debris.
As of Sunday the following areas are still under water…
Cart path at 2 tee.
Cart path at 5 green.
Cart path going to 9 tee.
Cart path at 9 and 18 green.
Half the cart path on hole 16.
Both sides of 5 fairway.
The entire hole of number 8 from 170 yards in.
Right side of hole 10.
Most of the rough right side of 16.
All the bunkers on holes 4,5,8,9,10,11,16,18.
HC hopes to have the entire course cleaned up sometime next week.  The biggest concern is the standing water.
Until the water table goes down these areas will not drain. There is no time table to when hole 8 will be playable.  The lake on 8 is only going down inches a day and it needs to go down many many feet.
HC has been pumping over 3.1 million gallons of water since 6 pm on the Monday before the hurricane hit.
HC is working diligently everyday to get the course re-opened as soon as possible.  The staff at HC thanks you all for your understanding and hope to see everyone soon.
