Today, at approximately 12:00pm , the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Florida Department of Transportation in reference to a found body. A road construction crew was working in the area of the Escambia River Bridge (Hwy 90) on the Santa Rosa County side, when the deceased was located.
At this time, Sheriff’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene units are on scene working this case. This is an active investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available. This is the only information being released at this time.
