On 11/18/21 at approximately 6:00 pm, Deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at 4081 Hwy 87 in Navarre. There was one fatality. The victim was identified as Richard William Dye, 57 years of age from Milton Florida.
We are working this case with the potential of there being a stand-your-ground component. This death investigation remains ongoing and active. On Monday, November 22, Sheriff Johnson will be speaking about this case during his news conference at 11:00 am. Media planning to attend are asked to arrive early for setup.
