New Toddler Time – Navarre and Pace Libraries
 Jan,18 and 25, 11 a.m.
The Santa Rosa County Library System is launching a Toddler Time program for children 18 to 36 months of age who attend with a caregiver. One child and one adult register together for songs, stories, rhymes, and other fun activities. The winter session will begin Jan 18 for six weeks on Wednesdays, 11 to 11:20 a.m. at the Navarre and Pace libraries. Space is limited and on-site registration is required in advance. This is not a drop-in program.
Preschool Storytime
Preschool storytime programs are presented for preschool children ages three through five and include stories, finger plays, and action rhymes. Caregivers must remain in the library during storytime; however, they may not accompany children into the programs. Please be prompt, latecomers will not be admitted. First-time visitors are encouraged to visit the library in advance to meet the storytime presenter, pick up a welcome packet, explore the children’s area, and tour of the library. Storytime will be presented during the following times from January 17 through February 24:
* 11 – 11:30 a.m. on Mondays at the Jay Library
* 11 – 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays at the Navarre Library
* 11:15 – 11:45 a.m. on Wednesdays at the Milton Library
* 11:15 – 11:45 a.m. on Wednesdays at the Gulf Breeze Library
* 11 -11:30 a.m. on Fridays at the Pace Library
Friends of the Navarre Library Board Meeting
Jan 9, 10:15 a.m.
Board meetings are held the second Mon. of each month at the Navarre Library.
Winter Break Family Movies – Milton Library
Jan 3 and 4, 4 p.m.
On Jan 3, enjoy a remake of a 1977 classic about an orphaned boy and his magic dragon. On Jan 4, meet Sophie and a big friendly giant. Both movies are rated PG and will be shown at 4 p.m. in the Milton Library meeting room. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Milton Library. 
Friends of the Milton Library Board Meeting
The Friends of the Milton Library will hold a board meeting in the Milton Library, Jan 5 at 1:30 p.m.
Friends of the Pace Library Board Meeting
Jan 10, 5:30 p.m.
Friends of the Pace Library Board meetings are held at the Pace Library, 4750 Pace Patriot Blvd., at 5:30 p.m. on the second Tues. of every other month beginning with Jan with an annual meeting held in March.
Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D) – Navarre Library
Jan. 11, 4 – 5:30 p.m.
Come, Sit, Stay & Read with a furry friend in the Navarre Library on the second Wednesday each month in the Navarre Library, 8484 James M. Harvell Rd. Registration required, contact the library.
Coffee Talk Book Club – Gulf Breeze Library
Jan 11 at 6:30 p.m.
The non-fiction book club meets at the Gulf Breeze Library study room on the second Wednesday of every other month. This month the book club is discussing True Crime Addict by James Renner. For more information call the library.
Bereavement Support – Navarre Library
Jan 13 and 27, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Meeting are held at the Navarre Library on the second and fourth Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The sessions address grief support and offer assistance, love and listening ears to those grieving the loss of a loved one. All materials provided, no charge to attend, no reservation required.
AniManga Club – Gulf Breeze Library
Jan 17 at 4 p.m.
The AniManga Club is dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of animation, cartooning and related arts. Bring your art, discuss techniques of drawing, cartooning, anime and manga art, as well as your favorite title and artists in those genres. The club is open to youth in grades six through eight and meets on the third Tues. of each month at the Gulf Breeze Library.
Graphic Novel Book Club – Milton Library
Jan 17 at 5 p.m.
New and seasoned graphic novel readers join ;fellow enthusiasts at the Milton Library on the third Tuesday of each month to discuss the book of the month. January’s selection is Guardians of the Louvre by Jiro Taniguchi.
Game Night – Jay Library
Jan 17 from 3 to 6 p.m.
Enjoy playing games? Join us for game night at the Jay Library. Bring games from home, or play those provided by the library. This event is open to all ages, and game groups are welcome.
Third Fridays with UF/IFAS Extension – Gulf Breeze Library
Jan 20 at 10 a.m.
The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Services presents a monthly series on a variety of topics with solutions for your life including agriculture, the environment, sustainable living, disaster preparation and recovery, 4-H youth development, family and consumer issues, and lawn and garden problems. The program is held at the Gulf Breeze Library
Friends of the Gulf Breeze Library Annual Meeting
Jan 23 at 7 p.m.
The Friends of the Gulf Breeze Library will hold their annual meeting in the meeting room at the Gulf Breeze Library, 1060 Shoreline Drive, on Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. Join us for a special presentation with guest speaker Sharla Gorder, a local author who recently published her first book, My Vices Collide, A Celebration of Being a Little Messed Up.
