This afternoon two people were rescued from the Gulf due to a strong undertow. After 4:20 pm a 911 call was placed asking for help. This was at the first beach access in the National Seashore Park, Opal beach as you leave Navarre and head towards Pensacola.
The female was in shock and the male was unconscious as medical attention was being preformed. The female ended up being transported by helicopter and the male was revived and seemed to be in better shape. Both were from out of state and in their mid thirty age range.
The male was also transported by helicopter.

Update: I left the scene before the helicopters arrived and according to Lesley Roper who was there the first helicopter left with the man and the second helicopter left empty.
Jody Coleman has also stated that both people were taken by helicopter .
We were not there when the helicopters arrived but do know that both went to the hospital.
