Robert Patrick Jernigan , age 53 was booked tonight at 10:28 pm into Santa Rosa County Jail.
Jernigan has been charger with homicide, statute 782.04.2 Murder dangerous depraved wo premeditation.
The residence address given is on Colter Rd ,Milton. No bond has been set.

This afternoon a press release from SRSO said, Wednesday evening, 7/19/2023, deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to Schnoor Rd. in reference to a death investigation.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies located the victim, Stephen Lee Jernigan, 70 years old, deceased. Detectives with our Major Crimes Unit are continuing to investigate this case.
At this point in their investigation, SRSO detectives do suspect that foul play did occur. Additionally, they have reason to believe that this was not a random act and there is no threat to the general public.
This is an active and ongoing investigation, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
As of 12 am Friday , July 21 there has been no new update from SRSO about the arrest of Robert Patrick Jernigan and if it is related to the press release from SRSO this afternoon about Stephen Lee Jernigan.
