Deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office have charged 5 individuals for their involvement in a fight at a local family restaurant.
Deputies were called to Stripes Pub and Grill in Navarre on 5/15/21 at approximately 9:45 pm. Complainants advised of an active fight within the bar area of the restaurant. Upon our arrival, several of the combatants left the scene and 1 individual required EMS treatment for serious injuries.
After an extensive investigation the following individuals have been arrested and or charged in the incident:
• Phillip Owen Davis – arrested 5/21 – Battery, Affray & Disorderly Conduct
• Brian Scott Sanders – arrested 5/25 – Battery, Battery on person 65+, Affray, & Disorderly Conduct
• Melvin Lorenzo Belden – arrested 5/21 – Affray & Disorderly Conduct
• David Allen Webb – Warrant for Aggravated Assault w/Deadly weapon w/o intent, Battery on person 65+, Affray, & Disorderly Conduct
• Bret Andrew Smith Carl – Warrant for Affray & Disorderly Conduct
This incident occurred at a local pub and grill, often filled with families of all ages. The fight involved individuals wearing “Pagan” motorcycle club patches. The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office takes a vigorous approach to crimes of public order. Our citizens need to feel safe from these offenders and anyone who decides to take part in negligent behaviors.
This burnt motorcycle in the parking lot of Stripes was removed on Tuesday. The bike was set on fire late at night two days after the brawl.
Navarre Newspaper reminds are readers that Phillip Owen Davis , Brian Scott Sanders , Melvin Lorenzo Belden , David Allen Webb , Bret Andrew Smith Carl are presumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.
