The Raider girls’ flag football team rolled to a shutout victory, 47-0 Tuesday against the Fort Walton Beach Vikings.

This puts Navarre (9-2) on a four-game winning streak with a planned showdown with the Choctaw Indians (10-3) Wednesday night in Russell Stadium.

After limiting the Viking offense to minimal gains in the first half, assistant coach Jordan Fogg challenged his defense — no first downs. And they met the challenge, even when Fort Walton had two shots to gain two yards in the fourth quarter.

According to Lady Raider head coach Sean Tomey, the team is still adding plays and working athletes into the offensive formation and schemes. The defense features a fast and furious front that applies pressure and — like Tuesday — aggressively pulls flags.

The Vikings (2-7) still have two games before their district playoffs begin next week.
