Holley- Navarre Fire District’s Engine 45 arrived within 6 minutes of dispatch and quickly extinguished the fire in the garage. Firefighters then entered the smoke-filled home to check for further fire extension due to the flames spreading into the attic.

The blaze was called under control at 10:35 p.m. and fully extinguished by 11:00 p.m. In addition to the fire damage in the garage, the 2,500 square foot home sustained major smoke damage throughout. The occupants were displaced from the residence and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

There were no injuries reported.

HFND thanks our mutual aid partners who also responded to the call; Navarre Beach Fire Rescue, Midway Fire District, Florosa Fire District, Lifeguard Ambulance Service and the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Department.
