A red Suzuki sedan was traveling westbound on US Highway 98. V01 struck Michael Rice , 53 of Navarre a cyclist in the bike lane in front of the Lewis Funeral Home. This happened around 5:15 pm on May 3. The cyclist was transported by ambulance due to critical injuries. The driver of the red Suzuki Karl Trugenberger, 89 of Navarre has been charged on Aug 4 with leaving the scene of accident involving serious injuries and careless driving.
