UPDATE: Tevin Peltier was hidden as the top regional qualifier in the 139 lbs. weight class. There are 10 Raiders who’ll compete at state.
Florida has announced the qualifiers for the state boys’ weightlifting meets.
Navarre has nine athletes set to lift at the 3A meet scheduled for April 24 at St. Cloud High School, south of Orlando. They are:
– Chris Curtis, 129 lbs
– Kamal Rustom, 169 lbs
– Chris Decorte, 169 lbs.
– Bailey Huston, 183 lbs.
– Sebastian Melendez, 183 lbs.
– Jadan Moon, 199 lbs.
– Jordan Moon, 238 lbs.
– Michael Waddell, 238 lbs.
– Jeremiah Chavis-Mhoon, unlimited
Another seven local athletes qualified for the 2A meet, and they will lift at Port St. Joe High School, southeast of Panama City, April 23 & 24. They are:
– Wes Henning, Gulf Breeze, 139 lbs.
– M.J. Aledia, Fort Walton Beach, 139 lbs.
– Shelby Stout, Gulf Breeze, 154 lbs.
– Jacob Quitugua, Fort Walton Beach, 183 lbs.
– Walker Robinson, Fort Walton Beach, 199 lbs.
– Ethan Todorovich, Gulf Breeze, 199 lbs.
– Steven Villnueva, Fort Walton Beach, unlimited
