Pace man arrested for Homicide

At approximately 4:30 pm Saturday (5/27/23), SRSO received a report that a body had been discovered at the 4100 block of Diamond Street in Pace.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Upon arrival, our investigators did locate the body and determined that their injuries indicated a homicide did occur.

Jeffrey Todd Stahler, 61 years old, has been identified as a suspect in this case.

When SRSO deputies initially arrived on scene, Stahler attempted to flee the area. Subsequently, Stahler was detained, SRSO investigation ensued, and ultimately, Stahler was arrested.

Stahler has been arrested for Second Degree Felony Homicide: murder dangerous depraved without premeditation, Third Degree Felony Obstructing Justice: tampering with evidence in criminal proceeding, First Degree Felony Assault: aggravated assault on officer, and Third Degree Felony Resisting Officer: with violence.

Navarre Newspaper reminds are readers that Jeffrey Todd Stahler is presumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.
