Pace Walgreen’s Robbery

Deputies from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call on 12-7-15 at approximately 2:30 am in reference to a robbery in progress. The location was the Walgreens Pharmacy in Pace (3909 Hwy 90).

Upon our arrival, the suspects had fled the area. Witnesses stated a male entered the store with a tire iron demanding cash. The suspect who was carrying a backpack also grabbed cigarettes from the counter and placed them in his bag. The suspect threatened to hit the clerk with the tire iron if they did not cooperate.  Suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash then exited the store. He was seen leaving in what appeared to be a silver compact car, possibly a Nissan Sentra. There was a driver in the vehicle waiting for the suspect.

The suspect was a male, 5’5’’ to 5’9’’, thin and had a light complexion.

Anyone who can identify this robbery suspect is urged to contact the Santa Rosa County Crime Stoppers Program at 850-437-STOP.  A reward is being offered of up to $1000 for his identity.

There was a similar robbery in Escambia County which may be connected.
