
Last night at 11:07 PM a pedestrian walking eastbound on the northern side of US Highway 98 on the shoulder of the road just east of Carl Street was struck by a vehicle and killed.

After speaking with the Traffic Homicide Investigator, As of now, the Florida Highway Patrol does not have enough evidence to confirm the GMC as Vehicle-1 or the age and residence of Driver-1.
The pedestrian was walking eastbound on the northern side of U.S Highway 98 st this time the suspected vehicle collided with the pedestrian, this vehicle in question is still unknown. We do have leads on a suspect vehicle and driver however, the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
The pedestrian age 30 years old male was from Bryceville, Florida.
A unknown vehicle was traveling west bound on Hwy 98 just East of Coral St in Navarre when the pedestrian was struck on the shoulder of the road.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.
According to the Florida Highway patrol report the pedestrian was alcohol related and the driver is unknown at this time..
