The announcement on Friday was that Porsche will build a electric car by the end of the decade. Porsche said the four door car will have a system power output that exceeds 440 kW and will be fast. 0 – 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
A 800 volt charger can re-charge the car at 80% in 15 minutes. Range of the car will be 310 miles.
A major investment in a upgraded assembly plant and increase of 1,000 new jobs will be part of the commitment from Porsche to name this new division Mission E.
