West Florida erased a 11-point deficit to claim a 61-59 victory over the Navarre boys’ basketball team Tuesday tonight.

Malik George hit a long trey from the left wing to knot things up at 59 with 14.9 seconds on the clock. But West Florida point guard Jalen King took the inbounds pass, drove the floor, and sank a leaning, one-handed shot with 1.9 seconds showing. With no way to stop the clock, the Raiders couldn’t reply.

George scored 20, dropping six three-pointers, to lead the Raider charge. Tim Brewer added 10, with Christian Vollmer and Anthony Hennessey putting down eight each.

King ended with 17, as three Jaguars scored in double figures. West Florida’s record stands at 6-7. As a team, they shot 16-22 from the free-throw line.

The Raiders shot 10-of-16 from the stripe, and they hold an 8-8 regular season mark, with one game remaining
